What a refreshing week it was in Palm Springs, CA for the annual QRCA conference–an event I have avoided over the past several years for competing priorities such as growing my family and fielding multiple projects (conference week is a magnet for studies every year). I resolve to try to keep my calendar clear in the future for this important and insightful event!

Top Three Takeaways:

1. Clients are developing and marketing products in a new context, per a unique perspective from the Center for Creative Leadership that was helpful in understanding where our customers are coming from and how our consulting capabilities can be most helpful.

2. The appetite for new technology and creative, projective techniques among qualitative researchers seems insatiable. Good news for our karmaCollage!

3. Continued creativity requires attention, care, and diligence. I have renewed energy for infusing all aspects of our projects with fresh approaches–from warm-ups to qualitative data collection methods to interactive debrief sessions with clients. Keep an eye out for small changes with big impact.
